Over the years, we have hosted several volunteers from abroad and we are proud to continue providing the volunteering opportunities to those interested in serving the community while also gaining medical experience.
Our medical volunteer programs are suitable for medical students or qualified healthcare professionals working in all areas of Pediatric Care. This volunteer program will allow you to gain experience in a real environment, learn more about healthcare in a developing country, and work under the supervision of experts whilst helping those who need it the most. Not only will our medical volunteer program be a fantastic career boost or career break, but you will learn so much and meet some fantastic people along the way. All this whilst still having an opportunity to travel, soak up new cultures and see new places.
Being one of the leading pediatric hospital, we receive a variety of cases and patients from all over the country. You will gain first hand experience on how to deal with all the challenging cases and learn from our excellent team of care providers.
Volunteer program is designed for motivated individuals at all skill levels and medical students or qualified career breakers working across all areas of Pediatric care. You will be assigned specific roles and responsibilities to enhance your knowledge in the medical field while also helping better the hospital.

We offer housing facilities for you so that you do not have to go through the trouble of finding a place to stay or worry about transportation to and from hospital while you volunteer with out. We have a building dedicated to house volunteers with all the facilities so you can have a comfortable stay.

While you volunteer with us, you can take your time to go sight seeing around the city. We will provide you with transportation and take you to various heritage sites around the city if you are interested. Also, if you wish to go hiking or trekking outside the city, we can store your luggage for you so that you can only take what you need.
IFCH has a Volunteer House specially meant for housing volunteers. We have quality and affordable housing facilities meant to make your stay comfortable and easy. We have multiple rooms with different bed sizes, attached or detached bathrooms, a/c units as well as fitness area, all of which are bundled up in a package. You can choose from one of the packages, and relax knowing you stay with us will be a wonderful experience.

(1). Visa on Arrival and you must have atleast 6 months validity remaining on your passport after your planned return date, and you need one passport-sized photograph along with the visa fee in USD (for overland crossings) or equivalent International foreign currency for arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal.
(2). Be Insured from your Origin Country.
(3). Vaccination/Immunization done with regards to Hepatitis A, Typhoid and Meningitis. Boosters are also recommended for Tetanus, Polio, Mumps and Measles. Depending on your travel plans, you may also consider inoculations against Japanese Encephalitis, Hepatitis B, and Rabies. This is especially important if you have young children, are coming for an extended period of time, or visiting rural areas and the Terai.
